Canada

Heading to Canada in a few weeks for Christmas to my girlfriends house which is right on a small pond. Her family says that it has started to ice over, so I'm probably going to see if the ice is thick enough for me to safely stand on. If it stays cold for the next week or so, i may be in luck. I'm sure the ice will be to thin  for the ice shack so lawn chairs it is! Have a merry Christmas everyone!

No Ice in the Future

Back this week with another update on the upcoming ice fishing season. As of right now there is no extreme cold weather in sight for the ponds to freeze around northern Maine. This is the time of year where there isn't much to do except wait for the ponds to freeze over. The shack is ready and we have all the gear we need. Now we just need to let mother nature run its course! See you soon
